Hi! My name is Joanne Mclaughlin, the fun, adventurous North East Celebrant who dares to be different!

I am the music loving, travel obsessed, international globetrotter and karaoke legend that will make your ceremony one-of-a-kind.

After a lifetime of loving a good wedding and being the ultimate wedding guest (first to the dance-floor and instigator of the afterparty sing-along), I finally realised I could make them my career!

What could be better that being part of the happiest days of peoples’ lives?

I have attended what feels like hundreds of weddings over the years and have come to realise that the celebrant led ceremonies have always been the most memorable. When a couple are able to make their big day so personal to them, it creates such an amazing experience for everyone involved. Every couple is extraordinary, so why shouldn’t their ceremony be?

I am based in the North East of England but I’m willing and able to travel around the UK and even overseas (very willing to do destination ceremonies!). I have spent nearly half my life as a wandering free spirit, travelling and living all over the world, so I absolutely relish immersing myself in different cultures and traditions.

I have worked in travel, tourism, sales, and have had a 15 year career in education as a teacher of English, English Literature and Media. Let me use my creativity, skills and experience to create the ceremony of your dreams. Let’s break all the rules together!
